After Osborn reveals that he knows Peter is Spider-Man, he tells him that he will keep his secret. This still haunts Peter even when he returns home. Nico offers to take Peter to the movies, but he tells her that he is having dinner with Osborn. In an empty restaurant, Peter tries to explain to Osborn that he is not Spider-Man, but he sees through his lie. He reveals that after rescuing his son Harry, he began piecing together the possible candidates for the identity of Spider-Man, ultimately coming across Amadeus, Jeanne, Asha, and Peter himself. He offers to help, but Peter politely declines. Osborn leaves the door open just in case and writes out a check.
